The debut by UK duo The MeMeMe's is released on November 16. The single will be released in more than 60 Internet outlets in over 200 countries around the globe. Note: due to domestic procedures the release date and cover artworks may vary.

Episode One

In a Galaxy not that far far away……Cardiff, less than a light year ago in a toxic Nebula of a 24 hour BBQ, 2 stars collided thus creating the nuclear fusion of The MeMeMe’s, namely Richard Proctor and Mel Daley – collaboration of the millennium. After the explosion, Richard and Mel discovered that they were in possession of some Hyper Muso-Scientific powers. Mel learnt that she now possessed Helium-based song writing skills and Richard had obtained Hydrogen-Proficiency in arrangement and instrumentation. They set forth these skills in a string theory of acoustic gigs as well as invitations to perform at “SWN” festival 2008, support slots with Martin Carr (Brave Captain, Boo Radleys) and Rhys Ifans’ band The Peth. They have also been featured as Artist of the Week on BBC Radio. 2009 saw them perform at The Greenman Festival. These anomalies resulted in astronomical data results; an album called OC/DC is now being processed. The trip is not over. May gravitational interaction begin…

Due to the latest streaming report "Nordur" (taken from Pondus mini album "Sandur") have been streamed and downloaded over 700 times in the US, in August alone. "Nordur" is a minimalistic instrumental beauty recorded in Reykjavik, Iceland by Björk collaborator Valgeir Sigurdsson. Pondus is a trio playing real instruments, use no samples but guitars, bass and drums only. Petur Hallgrimsson writes the songs, plays the 6 and 12 string electric guitar/bariton/lapsteel, Addi the drums/percussion/cajon and Gudni the bass. The members of Pondus have played with/for as diverse artist as Apparat Organ Quartet, Mugison, BangGang, SlowBlow, Marc Almond, Sigur Ros, Kylie MInogue, Hafler Trio, Bubbi and lots of others...

In the previous quarter (April-June) we saw an 50% increase of our catalog sales and the forthcoming quarter (July-September) currently looks like another succes with an increase of more than 30%. All together we are currently looking at an increase in sales of digital downloads with over 80% compared to 2008.

The Fakes "A minutes notice" is featured in the soundtrack of Amber Moelters new film "Dirty Step Upstage" which is selected to open the 2nd annual Chashama Film Festival in New York on October 21.

"A minutes notice" is originally a tribute to the victims of the 2004 tsunami and is a beautiful piece of instrumental work taken from their debut EP "Storm in a tea cup" originally released in 2005 and re released in 2008.

The Fakes are currently in the studio for the making of their second full length album.

Due to our latest sales figures we have an increase in digital download sales and streams.

Since we joined the fabulous french aggregator Believe Digital in October last year (2008) our sales figures has seen a dramatic increase of 52% in the latest quarter.

Additionally we have signed another aggregation service with the leading Chinese R2G/Wawawa digital distribution provider which means we are amongst the first entering the unexplored huge market (over 350 mill.)

Furthermore we have made several licensing deals, due to our recent cooperation with youlicense.com, and all our music is getting more and more attention all over the Internet.

Our debut release in 2002 with Kira and the kindred spirits is the foundation of the label and obviously of highest importance.

Since 2005 we are in a dispute with Copenhagen Records due to their copyright infringement by selling the same recording to the public audience. In 2008 Kira and the people at CPH REC again left for the new label Mermaid Records which is represented by Sony/BMG in Denmark and now they are releasing the same album too [http://ping.fm/NdKCR].

Needless to say, we're pissed !, please support us by buying the original recordings. We are of course pursuing these filthy big brother methods but a trial costs money and so are lawyers so for the time being we are unfortunately unable to take Copenhagen Records, Mermaid Records, Sony/BMG to trial.
But believe me we're closing in and soon we will probably be rich.

The World Alive is released on May 11/2009 and includes a great number of prominent guest appearances. The album is recorded in Denmark and mixed and produced by David Hennessy, Mikael Nordsø and Basiru Suso. All music is composed by Basiru Suso.
Basiru Suso plays the Cora, which has been a part of the African music culture for more than 600 years, a 21 string body and neck instrument sounding similar to a harp. In the past the instrument was used for social cellebrations such as weddings and christenings. The Griot is the name of an African cora musician and storyteller and an important advisor for the kings and priests.

Basiru Suso received his initial teachings from The Griots of the Suso family in Gambia and continued his musical studies at Institut National des Arts in Bamako, Mali. Basiru came to Denmark in 1997 and has played with renowned musicians such as Jorge Degas, Palle Mikkelborg, Moussa Diallo...

Basiru Suso has performed live at festivals in Denmark (Roskilde 2003, 2005 and 2006) and throughout Europe, in eastern countries like Indonesia and Pakistan to name a few. With his previous album "Kouma" Basiru Suso was nominated for the Danish World Music Awards in 2007.

Since myspace is not answering we need to talk to others to find out.

How come a popular profile on myspace suddenly got no views nor plays ?

My record label first entered myspace in March 2006 and ever since, until approx. October last year, the profile has been surprisingly popular with sometimes over 500 views and plays per day (currently over 390.000 profile views). But it seems, since the myspace remake in 2008, that our profile all of a sudden fell into some kind of a vacuum. Presently no one is hardly ever visiting the profile nor playing our music ? - how come ? - what happened ?

We have sent several inquiries to myspace but so far no answers and we are getting more and more annoyed and we are certain that there must be many others facing the same problem.

Because of this we hardly use our myspace profile for promotion any longer and that's really sad because myspace is necessary.

Maybe Tom just got greedy ?

We are trying hard to find out what happened to the stats on our myspace profile. We use to have thousands of daily visitors and plays, but ever since the recent myspace remake the stats are completely different and almost none ? - We have of course sent our worries to the myspace staff and they have answered us that they are looking in to the problem and will return as soon as possible. In August 2008 we signed an worldwide distribution/marketing deal and all our releases are now available through major and minor digital outlets such as itunes, napster, amazon, rhapsody, fnac, nokia music, virgin mega, klicktrack, 7th digital, indiestore, iThinkmusic... and there are still many more to come.

We have recently released an EP with the anonymous Swedish/American duo Fake and the debut album to Australian shoegazers The Fakes. Soon to be released, in November 2008, is the album to the Icelandic trio Pondus and in the beginning of 2009 we are releasing two full length albums with UK's The MeMeMe's and the great African Cora player Basiru Suso (Nominated for Danish World Music Award 2007 with the album Kouma).

Currently we are featured on the international licensing website youlicense.com. The 1.2.3.4 remix version by Fake is still No. 1 on the the highly acclaimed video creation website animoto.com. Furthermore the song is licensed to the American mobile website thecellfreak.com and there are more in the works still to be announced.

The agreement with MForMe is for the previous release of Lou Reed's classic "I'm waiting for the man" performed, recorded and re arranged by Fake.

The charismatic sing/songwriter Kira Skov of "Kira and the kindred spirits" is leaving the the band !
In 2001 we signed and released the debut album "Happiness saves lives" (released on June 17 2002) which received loads of great attention. Since 2005 we have been in a dispute with Kira's current record label Copenhagen Records concerning the copyrights to the recordings.

Kira has signed with Island Records founder Chris Blackwell and trip hop mastermind Tricky.

We have today signed an licensing agreement with the Swedish MForME (a division of Music For You AB) and their joint venture with the 3G company tre.se which among others also includes the Danish 3.dk.

As you are probably aware of our website is no longer present at subexile.com nor sublimeexilerecordings.com. For the time being we're hosting our own website and since we don't have any static dns server our website is constantly changing. We're working on trying to host ourselfs ASAP ! - But for now we all have to live with this. It's currently online HERE. It's the last two numbers in the IP that changes and we'll update the changes ASAP here on our weblog and of course also wherever else we are presented. Reason for this is of course we're trying to be as independent as possible.

In 2001 we signed and produced the critically acclaimed debut album "Happiness saves lives" to Kira and the kindred spirits. The album was released on June 17 the following year in 2002 and the media and industry all agreed this was really something extraordinary. Yesterday, 5/6 years later, Kira, the charismatic singer/ songwriter of the band, finally received the Grammy Award for best female singer. Currently we're in a dispute with Kira's current record label Copenhagen Records who has re-released the album that we, due to contract, have the rights to. As soon as we're financially able we will sue the label for breaking the law of copyrights and for using our recordings and artworks on the re issue of the recordings. Kira is one of the greatest rock'n'roll voices of all time coming out on the danish rock scene, no doubt, and from the headquarters at Sublime Exile Recordings we can only express our deepest faith in the music and all the best wishes. Congratulations !!!

Hi everyone, just a reminder that the fakes are playing Plan B Friday night from 9:30. (please see attachment for details)There will be 2 sets-each running about 40 minutes with a small break in between. The purpose of
this show is to roadtest the new material before we release the next cd. It will be acoustic and pretty chilled but we plan to be up and back with the full band in the next few weeks.
